Chiefs Four and O Real?

So a new QB and a new Head Coach in KC and they have already doubled their win total from last year.  Does that mean they are for real are just been lucky?  Digging in a little deeper seems to suggest they are for real.  Let's start with the coach Andy Reed.  Although the last years in Philly were not good, a new team and new beginning seem to be just what the Dr. ordered.  From day one he had the respect of this team (which had been lacking for years with Haley and Crennel) and the players bought in completely.  With good talent on this team they needed leadership and direction to execute.  Also, bringing in Reed brought better coordinators and coaches.  Previous coaches had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get assistants, whereas Reed can bring some of the best in because of his reputation.  It seems coaching has had the biggest impact on this team so far.  Now to Alex Smith, although not looked at as a "franchise" quarterback and more of a "game manager" this guy wins.  With a record of 23-5-1 over the last 3 years, (with good coaching, Jim Harbaugh, Andy Reed) how can you not think he has turned into a good QB.  He may not have the best long ball, but knowing how to assess the risk and make a play with his feet and avoid a turnover may prove to be just as important.  So are the Kansas City Chiefs for real?  We will not really know until after the bye, week 10, when the schedule changes dramatically.  So far they have played the worst team in the NFL, and 3 NFC East teams that haven’t looked good and that Reed knows.  Games leading up to the bye do not pose to many challenges, but with all the division games after the bye it is not outrageous to think this team could go 1 and 5 in the division.  With Denver, San Diego, and even Oakland playing well the Chiefs need to show up in the division to prove just how real they are!

Good, Old, Peyton

Wow!  This guy seems to just better with age right?  I'll admit when he first came back I didn't he would last.  I thought after a few hits he would be lucky to decide to step away before he might not me able to step.  It seems like the injury just made him learn how to avoid getting hit.  Changing plays, reading defenses, and getting the ball out quick might allow one the greatest QB's of all time to play another 4-8 years which could be terrible (Barkley voice) for the rest of the  league, just terrible.

Favorite Super Bowl Food

With the big game around the corner I want to know what is your favorite food/snack/beverage for the party.  Since I'm a single guy with kids I like simple but tasty, party trays from Mr. Goodscents!  So easy, so good and everyone gets full, a coke with a smile to wash it down so there aren't beer bottles everywhere also keeps the house respectable for kids.  Another favorite my brother-in-law makes is jalepeno peppers filled with cheese, wrapped with Dove meat and cooked on the grill.  A very awesome appetizer for those bird hunters out there.  An old favorite I remember from being little and watching the game at my parents house is the egg salad sandwhich.  Dad made the egg salad and Mom made the sandwhiches, cut them in fours and I remember seeing how many I could eat.  Maybe not a good idea for a Super Bowl party with other guests as it can get a little smelly towards the end of the game!

Give me your favs and lets see what the BEST Super Bowl food is.
